Q: What's the program schedule?
A: The Facilitators Academy runs from July 15th – 19th from 9am - 5pm daily.
Q: What is the location?
A: The Facilitators Academy will be held at the William Pitt Union (WPU), Bigelow Blvd at Fifth Avenue on the University of Pittsburgh campus. The GPS address is: 3959 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh PA, 15213
Q: Will this be in-person?
A: Yes, the Facilitators Academy will be in-person. There is NO online option available at this time.
Q: What are the parking and transportation options?
A: See below for some of our recommended options:
- Soldiers & Sailors Parking Garage is closest to the Academy venue (www.alcoparking.com), 4390 Bigelow Blvd, Pittsburgh PA 15213
- Metered parking is available throughout the University campus
- Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus routes can be found here: www.rideprt.org
Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?
A: If you have any dietary restrictions, such as food allergies, vegan or vegetarian, lactose intolerance, religious dietary restrictions, or nutritional preferences, kindly send details to reci@pitt.edu.
Q: Are you offering scholarships for the Facilitators Academy?
A: We do not offer scholarships for this one-week intensive cohort; however, the same content is offered through our general cohort offered Fall and Spring Terms, which accommodates sponsorship. Email our help center (RECI@pitt.edu) to be notified of the next general cohort date.
Q: Why is there a price incease?
A: The pricing structure for the upcoming Academy reflects the culmination of insights gained from last year's inaugural pilot edition, along with a comprehensive assessment of anticipated expenses and program provisions.
Q: What is the pricing for this year's Facilitators Academy?
A: Non-Pitt: $1500 || Pitt Affiliations (Staff/Faculty/Alumni): $1300 || Non-Pitt Student: $700 || Pitt Student: $600 (Please note: A 15% discount is available for groups of 3 or more)
Q: Do you offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
A: The Facilitators Academy has been approved for 30 hours of Continuing Education Credits for participants who attend all five (5) sessions at an additional cost of $15. Allow 3-4 weeks for processing. Note: Check the CE box on the Facilitators Academy registration form.
Q: Do we get a certificate after completing the Facilitators Academy?
A: Individuals who attend all Facilitators Academy sessions and complete all discussion posts are eligible for a certificate. Certificates of completion will be issued on the last day of the Academy. It is the participant's responsibility to sign in and out every day.
Q: Do you accommodate cancelations or refunds?
A: If you cannot attend Facilitators Academy for any reason(s), please notify us of your cancellation on or before July 10, 2024. Send an email to reci@pitt.edu. Please note that refunds will be processed within 14-21 days (about 3 weeks) following the conclusion of the program.
