Wendy Unger

Personal Biography

Wendy Unger is the Department Manager for the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Department at The Child Welfare Resource Center. She is responsible for supporting Organizational Effectiveness efforts across Pennsylvania to help child welfare agencies strengthen their services for children and families. Wendy has over 30 years of experience providing child welfare and social work services. Prior to becoming the Department Manager for OE, Wendy was a Practice Improvement Specialist and a Unit Lead at the Resource Center. Her experience also includes work at a county child welfare agency, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, adjunct professor positions, and involvement in her community. Wendy earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Temple University and doctorate degree in higher education management at the University of Pittsburgh.
