Tina Ndoh, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health, Associate Dean for Practice for the School of Public Health, and Director for the Center for Public Health Practice. She is also a Leonard Peters Sustainability Faculty Fellow. Dr. Ndoh brings more than 15 years of environmental practitioner experience to her work, including professional experience with the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), where she developed multiple national air quality standards. There, she also led a team of engagement professionals who worked primarily with the small business community, tribal nations, and communities experiencing environmental justice concerns. At Pitt, Dr. Ndoh leverages her environmental health and community engagement expertise in several research and practice areas: she directs Community Engagement for the Center for Health, Environment, and Engaged Research; researches disproportionate health burdens related to environmental standards development; and teaches Environmental Justice and Health Equity, Policy Process, and Environmental Policy.
