Rickquel P Tripp

Personal Biography

Rickquel Tripp, MD MPH CDR USN FAEMS, is a nationally recognized expert in addressing provider implicit bias, creating health equity, and building a diverse workforce. She is a dynamic speaker and leader in addition to receiving many awards for her diversity, equity, and inclusion work such as UPMC Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service (ACES) in 2019, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Social Justice Educator Award in 2023, Onyx Woman Leadership Award in 2023, YWCA Bridge Builder Award in 2023, Gateway Medical Society Healthcare Policy & Advocacy Champion Award in 2024, and Iota Phi Foundation Exemplary Service Award for Medicine in 2024. As an EMS Medical Director of 4 different agencies, Dr. Tripp has provided subject matter to numerous EMS agencies and organizations regarding health disparities and equity, provider implicit bias and strategies to mitigate bias affecting medical care, and OB/GYN emergencies. She holds MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and MPH from Harvard School of Public Health along with being a Commander in the Navy Reserves.
