Leanna Totten is the new Community and Racial Equity Leadership Fellow at the Center on Race and Social Problems in the School of Social Work. Leanna is a second-year Master of Social Work student specializing in Community Organizing and Social Action. As a fellow, she will work to foster collaboration between CRSP and grassroots organizations, provide logistical assistance for the Racial Equity Consciousness Institute Learning Community Cohorts, CRSP event promotion, and more! In her first year in the MSW program, Leanna was a Library Social Work Fellow at the Sharpsburg Community Library. There, she assisted patrons 1:1 with social services and job applications, and collaborated with local nonprofits to strengthen their collective efforts. Leanna also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Washington State University. Leanna sees strengths in all forms of social justice advocacy and will continue to build solidarity between movements to promote equity and justice for all.
