Gina Winstead

Personal Biography

Gina is a seasoned leader in racial equity and inclusive innovation, recognized for her transformative impact across corporate, nonprofit, and tech sectors. As the inaugural Vice President of IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, she championed institutional change and authentic community engagement. Her prior roles—including leadership at Vibrant Pittsburgh, Women in Tech PGH, and the Pittsburgh Technology Council—laid a strong foundation for advancing equity in regional ecosystems. Gina brings deep expertise in marketing, talent strategy, and tech-driven business development, having supported cybersecurity, AI, IoT, and SaaS ventures. She is especially skilled in building strategic partnerships and identifying opportunities to foster inclusive economic growth. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s Executive Leadership Academy and the University of Pittsburgh, she also coordinated tax incentive programs to nurture young, innovative companies. Outside of work, Gina is a dedicated mixed-media artist who finds joy in nature, fishing, and hiking with her dogs.
