Fred Smth

Personal Biography

Fred Smith has been married for 25 years and has raised four children who are now adults pursuing their own paths. He is deeply engaged in his community, having volunteered as a coach and spiritual leader at Urban Impact, served as a room monitor at the Pittsburgh Project, and coached youth football for the Northshore Stallions and Northboro Panthers. Currently, he co-chairs the housing work group for the Perry Hilltop and Fineview Citizen Council and serves on the board of One Northside. With 24 years of experience at CYF, Fred has spent the last eight years as a Father Engagement Specialist. He is an active member of the Father’s Collaborative Council and the Men of Color who Rescue to continue to enhance his understanding of fatherhood. Fred is a graduate of Pitt with a Bachelor's in Social Work and a Master's in Community Organization Social Administration.
