The Heinz Endowments sponsored a one-day summit for educators titled “A Call to Conscience: Effective Policies and Practices in Educating African American Males.” The Center on Race and Social Problems at the University of Pittsburgh hosted the summit. The by-invitation-only event took place July 10, 2013 at the University of Pittsburgh’s University Club.
